Crazy - The First Finish

In the wee hours this morning I finished stitching Goode Huswife "Reuben Rooster."  Reuben was my last start of the challenge and my first finish this year.  Tonight is the TNT guild meeting so I was inspired to tuck him into the frame for show-and-tell.

I want to stitch him again on an interesting piece of country cream linen I have and maybe a third time on 18 or 20 count fabric, sort of like a Bent Creek Zipper.  The design is super cute and I love the colors.

Last night was Rainbow and I worked on "Sugarplums."  I'll be working on it some more tonight at guild, so no picture quite yet.

The guild is having a UFO challenge this year and I am going to participate with a quilt I started in the 1980's.  It is twin size and a lot closer to being finished than I thought it was.  The challenge is to have it done by the June meeting.  Even if I don't finish it by June, it will still be good to work on it.

The Violet Threads group is going to have a kit exchange this year using the 2010 Just Cross Stitch ornament magazine.  I am organizing the exchange.  We are planning to have our ornaments stitched and kits pulled together for Christmas in July at our July meeting.  I haven't chosen my ornament yet, but I am getting it narrowed down.

I wonder if I am over-committed this year?  Nah.  No stress, all fun.  So far.

I've nearly purchased Reuben on more than one occasion. He's an adorable finish, and I love how well the frame sets off this design. Nice!
