Crazy and Then Some

In the struggle for picture posting supremacy (Toadlily vs. Blogger)...Blogger remains the champion.   I tried to html the photos into the blog but it didn't go well.  Size issues.  Blah blah blah.  A lesson for another day, perhaps.   Here are links to the pictures in Photobucket.

Bent Creek Rise and Shine

Raise the Roof Nickademus

I mentioned last time that I had 15 finishes this year.  Not as many as I would like, but this seems to be what I can manage while working mostly full time and taking the occasional class.  It is certainly better than zero.  I managed to clear out the last of my ancient WIPs.  Great was the rejoicing!  So here is what I accomplished in 2010:

Bent Creek - Got Carrot? Zipper
Bent Creek - Are You My Mother?
Bent Creek - The Little House
Bent Creek - Scared Crow Zipper
Carriage House Samplings - My Home Town
Full Circle Designs - Acorn Teapot (Silver Needle Night)
Quaker a 6 Mains
Elizabeth's Designs - Dragonfly (stitched 3 times)
Little House Needleworks - He's A Flake
Ink Circles - Stained Glass Tree (from 2010 JCS Ornament Issue)
Passion Broderie - Marquoir Story (only stitched two sections)
Bent Creek - Rise and Shine
Raise the Roof - Nickademus

So there you have it.  Over the next few months I plan to post pictures of those finishes so stay tuned.

Now onto the Crazy stuff.  In the end I settled on 15 projects for the official list.  Here they are in alphabetical order:

Brightneedle - Can You Spy?
Ewe & Eye & Friends - Petite Exemplary #1 - #4
Full Circle Designs - Sow Good Seeds
Goode Huswife - Reuben Rooster
La-D-Da - A Big Flower Sampler
Lilybet Designs - Lady Champagne
Lizzie Kate - Don't Get Your Tinsel in a Tangle
The Needle's Notion - Sweet Pea Sampler
Olde Willow Design Works - By the Grace of God
Prairie Moon - Smoke Flower
*Sheepish Designs - Precariously Perched
Shepherd's Bush - Garden Needleroll
Still Stitching with Susan Greening Davis - scissor fob class project
Sweetheart Tree - Bountiful Acorns
With My Needle - Bunnies in the Garden

*Edited to change "Birdy Birdy" to "Precariously Perched" - click here for the details.

While pondering the above list of 15 projects there were a few additional designs that would not stop calling to me. Three of them are not kitted up but that will be easily accomplished sometime this year. Two of them are from Diane. I'll start them if and when time allows. They are:

Barrick Samplers - Acorns and Threads
Designs by Linda Myers - Quilt Sampler VI (aka Dear Jane)
Mosey 'n Me - Frank's Last Box goes to the Cats & Dogs
Samplers Revisited - Tarten Pumpkins
Sewing Bird - Be Not Weary in Well Doing

My work projects this year will be the SamSarah stockings.  The link is to Sugarplum, the stocking I am starting first.  I thought they were so cute until I saw the "cover models" at Mom and Me Forever - and then I fell in love.  They are stitched over 2 on 20 count Weeks Dye Works linen using Watercolours.  If I finish all 6 stockings this year I'll be amazed.  There is no rush or deadline, just something to stitch while I work.

Because the above didn't sound like complete and total overload, I am also planning to finish two projects that were started by stitching friends.  Those projects are A Quaker Floral by Midnight Stitching and As Ye Sow by Rosewood Manor.  Stories/details will follow when my needle makes an appearance on their projects!

And so there you have it.  It is going to be a fantastic year!   Happy New Year, everyone!

You had some lovely finishes in 2010 :D I look forward to seeing your stitching progress for the challenge - I think half the fun has been in choosing the final 15! Like you, though, I have others that are still screaming loudly to be stitched as well. Thanks also for the link to the stocking - I am in LOVE and it's gone straight to my wishlist too! :D

Adorable finishes! I hope you will show a picture of your stockings. I like those and I would really like to see one in progress. I thought they would be great for the kids even though they are getting old.
