Queen Bee Progress

I haven't had much time to stitch over the last few days. Last night I worked on Meri's Queen Bee for a little while.

I love the DMC 729 on this! I contemplated changing the color of the words but decided it is nice and simple with just 2 colors and that's the way I want it. I'm planning to finish this as a small so I'll be adding fabric. That will add some color. Oh dear, what if I don't have any appropriate fabric? Like that could happen...

Interesting development! I just received an email from Adana on the Rockome Yahoo group and it sounds like there will be a show in Rockome next June. I'm afraid to get my hopes up - it sounds too good to be true. I'll be in Mattoon next weekend for the Stitcher's Express Camp Gotta Stitch, so perhaps I can get the latest news from those who live nearby. I will cry tears of joy if the Rockome show returns!

Your Bee looks great Chelle! And I will keep my fingers crossed about Rockhome. It really would be great if it comes back.

Queen Bee is looking really good! I am like you and love that color.

Thanks for the comments on my blog, I added a quit meter to mine now! That is a great idea, and seeing how much money saved is just awesome!!!

Oh my, Chelle... what a cool SAL is this scissors design! Looks like so much fun! Oh, and I love your ornie exchange idea with a twist. Also, your Homespun Elegance piece is going to be beautiful. I love Homespun Elegance---timeless designs---and some of the first ones I ever did long, long ago---the Amish ones. Can't wait to see your finished Welcome. I've done many of these as gifts over the years.
