Holiday!

I'm taking a holiday this week, visiting with my Mom while Dad is away. The weather is fantastic with a nip of fall in the air. Fun times!

I snapped a few pictures this afternoon. I made progress with the SusieQ alphabet sampler.

I decided to just put our first name initials and the year we were married. It is finished except for an over one alphabet near the bottom. I'll be stitching it just as soon as I'm confident of where to start so it is centered. I sure do seem to be having issues with centering things lately...

I also photographed the BOAF Notebook Sampler.

I've made some progress with the white and I love the way it looks. I'm still leaning toward just red and white, no blue.

Yesterday was Move It Out Monday, so I started Lady Violet by Lilybet Designs.

I love the design elements, the colors, and the specialty stitches. It calls for three different stitches to achieve the 3-D look of the tree. Pretty kewl!

Mom and I will be away for the next day or two. I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to blog again before I head home on Friday. If not, I'm sure I'll update things this weekend.

I love Lady Violet (I have it in my stash along with the others in the series). So I'm really looking forward to seeing your progress on this one. :) What fabric are you using?
