Tuesday Update

First of all, a big thanks to Joanie, Shantti, Cathy, Carol and Barbara for the recent comments. It is always fun to get feedback and even better to know I'm not alone as a stitching rebel. Hurrah for us!

Second I want to give credit to Dragon Fire Designs. I don't know when I first heard the expression "the thread goes through the needle..." but I did not write it myself. I knew there was a design out there with that saying on it but I couldn't remember who the designer was. After quite a bit of searching, I finally found it! It is Dragon Fire Designs, the design number is DF 25. It really is a cute design and the blackwork in it is beautiful.

I thought I was going to have a finish to share today. Yesterday I stitched (and stitched) on the LHN freebie Early America and I finished it! Unfortunately as I stitched the last band across the bottom I realized there was a mistake in the leaf and star band. I considered leaving it alone because it really wasn't very noticeable, but I knew it would bother me every time I looked at it. I spent over an hour frogging out about 1/3 of the band. Frogging over 1 stitches is not my idea of a good time! I used my Boo-Boo Stick on the fabric afterwards and the fabric is almost back to normal. There is one small area where there is a slight blue shadow. I'm sure it won't show when I start Hip Hopping because the whole area was only off by one thread/stitch to begin with. Ah the life of a discouraged perfectionist...

Today is French Sampler SAL Tuesday, so I will be working on Part 12 of Terre de France. I have been a real slacker with TdF this month and I'm not sure why. I still love the project and there are some really neat motifs this month. I guess this is just what happens when you have a screaming rotation and too many projects are screaming at once. Maybe I'm suffering from stitching schizophrenia?

I feel like adding some eye candy today, so here is a picture of my Marquoir Story sampler.

In case you are not familiar with it, this is a free sampler from Passion Broderie and it is still available on their website. Many stitchers changed motifs in the sampler to represent their own story/life but I stitched mine as a reproduction of Isa's original design. If you have time, check out the Marquoir Story photo gallery links. I think they are inspirational! The charts for Marquoir MIB and Sampler Alter Echo are still available as well. This is one of my favorite websites.

You have to stop posting eye candy! I have been *eyeing* that sampler but so far have resisted the urge to start it! ARGH!!!
You are a very bad, bad influence. I love the way you stitched it too!

Chelle - I have a confession to make! I had made an error when stitching the band across the top! I was on such a roll that I forgot to leave space for the bottom of the "y"! Needless to say, I did some frogging too. You are not alone! LOL

Wow! Your eye candy is sweet! I'd never seen or heard of the free sampler. Visited the web a minute ago .... stunning. I got some frogging done on a needlebook ... looking forward to getting some stitches in after dinner.
