Crazy - Day 10 and Day 11

Crazy January Challenge Day 10 - Lilybet Designs "Lady Champagne" stitched on 30 count Northern Cross linen with the floss called for.  I finished "Lady Violet" and promptly collected the rest of the "Lady" designs.  They rock!  This is a window.  Not very exciting yet.
Crazy January Challenge Day 11 - Brightneedle "Can You Spy?" stitched over one on 32 count Daytona Sand R&R linen with Anchor and DMC floss.  I finished an entire branch!  I love over one and anything Brightneedle.  Ginger and I are going to do this one as a SAL.
It is so, so sad that both of the above designers are no longer designing for the retail market.  Heartbreaking.

I had a few spare minutes yesterday so I went through the remaining Crazy January Challenge kits to make sure everything was in order.  I divided the floss into bags for the Shepherd's Bush needleroll and tried to make sense of the Still Stitching with Susan Greening Davis class kit.  I love to take stitching classes but sometimes I can't focus during the class.  I took a lot of notes during the class but did not start stitching at all.  I think now I have a pretty good grasp on what I need to do.  It is a very, very small project so it shouldn't be a problem.

Karen asked about the fabric for the now infamous "Precariously Perched."  Unfortunately I do not know for sure who dyes or sells the Meltaway Gray fabric.  I've always assumed it was a color from R&R but I don't see it on their current list.  Maybe it is a retired color?  Sorry I don't know the answer.  The fabric was actually a bit darker but I got a little happy with the spritz bottle while I was ironing and I transferred some of the dye to the towel I was ironing on.  The linen is still pretty, just not as dark as it was before.  The towel was decidedly less pretty, but thankfully the dye came out in the wash.

Monique your suggestion to just call the star on "Precariously Perched" a finish made me laugh out loud.  I love your personal challenge to do something stitchy every day this year.  Hope to see you Monday at Rainbow!

Carol I had something in mind to tell you or ask you and it escapes me now.  I'll be in touch as soon as I remember...

Joy - I haven't forgotten about you, Sis!  Soon!

I've managed to leave some notes on blogs today via links on comments left here but I haven't made it to my reader for days and days.  For now I'm off to work, where I hope to have a few minutes to work on "Sugarplums."

No worries Chelle, thanks for answering my question anyway :)

I love Monique's idea for calling the star a finish LOL.

Love your BN start, I agree that it's a shame they're only doing classes now. They had some fun designs.

I've been trying to find more time to stitch, so when you mentioned stitching at work, I remembered that I kept a lunch-hour project in my drawer for a while, but eventually I took it home. Maybe I need to kit up an ornament to have on hand for those days when I have a few minutes in the middle of the day.

You know where to find me when you remember what you wanted to tell me . . .
