My current work project is an oldie but goodie, Rise and Shine by Bent Creek.  I stitched this years ago for Ruth and decided to stitch it again for my kitchen.  Here is a poorly lit picture of it, still in the q-snaps.  Almost 100% of this has been stitched while I work.  Life is good.

This is Dragonfly by Elizabeth's Designs.  I stitched two colorways and I am finishing them as a beaded biscornu for the pincushion challenge at the TNT Guild this month.  I need to hustle, the meeting is next week.  I like the stitched parts, but I'm not sold on the beading.

This is the ornament I stitched for Susan in the St. Louis Stitchers annual ornament exchange.  If you haven't looked at the DMC color list for this ornament in the 2010 JCS Ornament issue, you should.  The greens do not "go" together.  At all.  Yet they work.  I *love* a great design, and this one qualifies.  Kudos to Tracy Horner.  You rule.

I used a metal eyelet for the first time on this project.  It was shockingly easy and worked great.  I see more eyelets in my future.

I have several other WIPs that I would love to work on, but Christmas preparations are getting in the way.  'Tis the season.   Time to address the Christmas cards!

Thank you so much for the welcome back and lovely comments!  I can't wait to catch up with you all!

Glad to see you've been stitching, even if you haven't been blogging. I'm in the same boat, I'm afraid, though still not stitching as much as I'd like. (Is there such a thing as *enough* time for stitching?)

I'm with you on the beading. I finished a project I LOVE . . . except for the beading. And I once bagged on finishing up silk ribbon embroidery as a last step on a project, too. Guess I just like to cross stitch!
