I finally pulled out the camera today. I hope I remembered to "shoot" everything I was supposed to!
First of all, I finished the project for Cathleen. Linda took it with her to the TNT Guild meeting tonight so we can get more initials on it before the Violet Threads meeting next week. As I mentioned in my last post, this design is "An Emblem of Friendship" from the Blackbird Designs book "Tokens of Friendship". The fabric is 32 ct Dark Cappuccino, the threads are Needlepoint Silk. I used 358, 903, 605, 724 and 756. I love the way it is coming together! Can't wait to see it with more initials on it.
Next is my WIP "Be Ever Thankful" from Abbey Lane Designs. I need to finish the flower then add the text. I love the colors in this project!
Another WIP, "Because Nice Matters" by Kreinik. I still need to satin stitch the border. This one worked up quickly and the border will be a snap with good light and my trusty magnifier. Pardon the wonky photography, it is still in the q-snaps!
While I had the camera out I snapped another picture of Terre de France. This is just the bottom part. I'm taking the piece to Jeanne on Friday so I can pick out a frame. We plan to order the frame and have it ready and waiting for the finished piece in September. Maybe, just maybe I'll have it stitched in time for the Lebanon Show in October.
Speaking of the Lebanon Show, the designers teaching classes this year will be La-D-Da, Twisted Threads and Monsterbubbles. I can't wait for show weekend! Is it October yet?
Tomorrow Ginger and I are driving out to see Linda M. I don't get to see her very often, so this will be a real treat! We plan to stitch and gab and eat. Who could ask for more?
