Starting Miss Mary Mack

Today I completed my Garden Exchange project and mailed it away. That left plenty of time this evening to start Miss Mary Mack!

I'm stitching over one on 40 ct fabric with Black Crow. A half stitch (petit point) looks good and provides plenty of coverage. I'm finding the linen threads are very hard to see, even with good light and magnification. It is difficult, but not impossible. As usual I started in the center. I have 10 rows of the skirt completed. Not too shabby for a start.

Tomorrow I'll take a picture of my little start. Did anyone else get started today? If you are still waiting for supplies, don't worry! I intend to take this slowly. We can muddle along together.

Thanks to everyone for the comments!

I'm Christine from France.
I recevied Miss Mary Mack design yesterday. I love it.
I guess i won't resist a long time before starting it and God knows i've a lot of other things to continue this year !
C'est la vie ! Thats the life of addicted cross-stitchers...
Happy new year, by the way !
Bonne Année, Bonne Santé.

Hi Chelle! I fully intended to start yesterday, but my new contact lenses and I are not quite used to each other yet. My eyeballs were just not up to the job of beginning.

I received my goods yesterday. I meant to start but was lured into the kitchen by the smell of apples that needed to be made into a crisp. I'll start tonight.
